In charge of managing the executive, acting as the primary figurehead of the society and the primary liason with the SGA, the E&EO, U@MQ and the university in all matters

Treasurer

Responsible for maintaining all finances for the society, providing the financial records of the society to the U@MQ on request, providing a summary of the society’s financial position at each AGM and any other GM as requested by the President, providing a summary of the societies financial position to any member upon request, within 21 days of receiving such a request, ensuring that financial record keeping and other related financial matters are conducted in a manner consistent with relevant U@MQ and/or university policy

Taylor Musa

Secretary

Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of the membership of the society, maintaining the administrative records of the society, collecting and dispensing with incoming correspondence to the society, maintaining an accurate record of this constitution and providing copies of administrative records to the SGA on request

 
 

Simon Emmerson

Quartermaster

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all assets of the society, reporting damage, theft or loss of any asset of the society to the Executive, providing technical assistance to Producers when requested

 

Publicity Officer

The publicity officer is in charge of maintaining the name, logo and image of the society, developing marketing strategies and policy for the consideration of the Executive, providing marketing assistance to Producers when requested, liaising with the SGA regarding promotion of the name, logo and image of the society at the University

Social Secretary

The auxiliary executive members shall assist the senior executive members and executive members holding portfolios in carrying out their responsibilities and duties, as required or directed by the President.

Archivist

Maintains a historical record of the activities of the society and a historical record of financial and administrative records of the society

Yearly Show Schedule


1st
Spot

First spot productions may only present published plays

An unpublished play may be pitched to the executive a minimum of one week prior to the meeting where pitching for the production would normally occur. The executive may determine the play performable, and allow the pitcher to pitch at the relevant meeting despite Addendum B - 1.2 requirements. In this case, the play pitched must be in its whole and complete form, with a fully written script.


1.5
Spot

1.5 consists of a maximum of four productions

The 1.5 spot shall be open to any style of production.

The executive may reject any pitch it deems to be inconsistent with the spirit of half spot productions as laid out in addendum B -Productions and Social Events Subsection 8, entirely at the discretion of the executive.

1.5 Spot Productions may not be longer than 30 minutes in average duration

1.5 spot Productions must be Published plays, unless the student wishing to pitch student-written works applies for executive approval a minimum of one week before pitching for the season.

Director's
First


Comrev

Comrev consists of a number of short sketches, songs and or video, generally of comedic value

The executive shall appoint exactly three directors and at least one producer of comedy revue.

All club members may apply for appointment to the director and or producer of comedy revue.

Directors and producers of comedy revue shall be appointed at least six weeks before the comedy revue season is scheduled to commence.

Following the appointment of directors and producers of comedy revue, those members so appointed will be named as pitch winners of the comedy revue season, and all normal rules, requirements, producers and other elements of a production, as laid out in this constitution, shall apply normally to comedy revue.


Godzilla consists of a maximum of four productions and may only be student-written plays.

Godzilla productions may be no longer than 45 minutes in average duration.

The working stage of the script must be declared as part of the pitch for a Godzilla production.

No Godzilla pitch may be excluded from pitching based on the working stage of its script, including pitches based on an unwritten script.

If the working state of a script can be shown to have been deliberately misrepresented in a pitch, the pitch may be disqualified within 14 days of pitching by the executive authority.

The style of small spot shall be open to any style of theatrical production.

The cast of small spot shall be limited to no more than 8 actors.

The spirit of small spot productions is to encourage those plays whose chance of election in other seasons may be disadvantaged in other seasons by their small casts, but are still artistically beneficial to the purpose of the society.
